Hello,
I am Victor Pires!

I am a syntropic agroforester and a regenerative agriculture educator, with 20++ years experience!

Syntropy is a lifestyle! It's not about size, Its about continuity!

I can still see and feel the first time that I've encountered a Syntropic food forest...
I couldn't understand it, but I new I wanted to be a part of it!

A bit of my story

I am no different than the majority of modern humanity these days. Coming from the heavily populated city of Sao Paulo, Brazil, nature was not something that was around me much and food was the thing we bought in the supermarket!!

But for some reason, I’ve always found myself in the mud puddles, rolling in the dirt or grassy ground and putting unidentified grubs in my mouth...

Seems like I’ve grown a taste for nature after all!!

A journey shaped by questions

How curiosity led me into syntropy

Nature always fascinated me, and since becoming an adult I have been searching through numerous pathways for clues on its laws, patterns, metamorphosis and open mysteries.

3 university degrees, 3 syntropic farms from scratch, hundreds of formal and informal courses, thousands of hours of research and practice, allowed me to understand that life is syntropically organised, and its primary objective is to generate more life.

life creates life!!

Syntropy has provided me a living framework where I can create unique  production systems that lawfully follows nature's movement and objectives.

Production through ecological processes and not through external inputs, is what I strive for!!

Putting knowledge into action

How do I do Syntropy?

More than understanding the laws and complexities of the natural world, 20 years of food growing have thought me that regenerative agriculture is about finding, forming and maintaining active relationships.

There is no silver bullet or universal recipes, but only principles and processes that must be thoroughly understood and experienced, so they can be moulded to individual situations.

My role is to observe and understand the dynamics of the land - its people and climate. I must look nature in the eye and see its strengths and weakness, from which balance can be found.

I then act within its motion. I act to restore its dynamic balance. I act to regenerate and produce.

Its a never-ending dance of relating and refining, marked by flavours, colours and encounters.

A Transformative Process

Creating a Macro-Organism

Perhaps the biggest lessons I've learnt are:

  • The journey is way more important than the destination - we must enjoy the agroforest process and its rhythms regardless of production.
  • Food-forests are much more flexible and pliable than I've first imagined - it grows and morphs as our knowledge, practices, observations involvement improves..
  • Participation and observation are much more important than design - our presence ensures harmonious growth.

In its own time, step by step, through the rhythms of nature and my conscious actions, nature and I merge to become one organism in unison - a farm individuality.

The macro-organism evolves through time, so do I.

I am so grateful to be able to live a syntropic life,
Teaching and individual support is how I give back.

Syntropic Agroforestry is an art, its a joyful marriage between human beings, the land and the cosmos (climate).

It is a living organism that has never existed before, a new creation - a Human-Nature-Cosmos offspring!!

I help other humans to engage deeply within themselves, their land and their climate, to give birth to and maintain a healthy, free and prosperous agroforest organism.

My goal is to teach you how to think syntropically!!
