I hope this experience helps us move forward - towards the place we want to be when we grow up!
Each journey is an individual one, but collectively we are able to support and be supported, consciously or unconsciously, in this pathway of discovery, amusement, respect and persistence.

Masterclass Details to Know

The Syntropic Agroforestry Masterclass - Independent Learner stream is a structured program.

There are 12 modules to the Masterclass, and you have immediate access to all of them.

The monthly live sessions run at two timezones - Saturdays at 6am to 9am and Saturdays 6pm to 9pm Sao Paulo, Brazil (UTC-3), you are welcome to attend both, or choose the one that best suits.

Participants are strongly recommended to attend the live sessions, its where the learning really happens.

This course has 4 different components that you should be aware of.  

1 - The Course Player
The Course Player (MASTERCLASS button above) is where you can find all of the course video content, practical activities, as well as the links and details to join live sessions. You can access this on your phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop via www.syntropicgardener.com - you can also track your progress throughout the course.

2 - Live Monthly Zoom Sessions
We will have a live session every second Saturday of the month. 

You can post your questions beforehand in the forum to have your questions prioritised, or if you are not able to join the session live.

These sessions will be recorded and posted within the course player for you to watch afterwards.

We have a wide range of locations and time zones, so I've selected two times that ensure everyone has at least one session at a reasonable time for them. It is not expected that you attend both sessions, but rather the one that suits your schedule best.

The live sessions will take place on:
- Group Photo:Saturdays at 6am to 9am (UTC-3).
- Group Synthesis: Saturdays at 6pm to 9pm (UTC-3);

3 - The Masterclass Community
This is a place to ask questions, share about yourself, and post projects for feedback.

This is also the place to connect with, learn from, and work with other students of the Masterclass. 

We have discussion sections, with different topics, where you can share our own experiences, ask questions and engage with the community.

Within each learning activity, there is also a discussion tab, where you can ask questions and talk specifically about that learning activity.

4 - Email Notifications
These essential communications about the course will come from victor@syntropicgardener.com

It will be used to notify you when the next module is released, before live sessions, and about any other communication that needs to happen.

Learning Activities

Throughout the course I ask that you engage in a wide variety of actions to build your experience, knowledge, and confidence. While it's easy to think of this as homework, each of these actions are designed to give you the experiences you need to become an efficient syntropic practitioner.

There are no due dates, please don't think of this as work you are doing for me, this is work you are doing for yourself. The more you put into the actions, the more you will get out of this course.

There is a broad range of self development activities to cater to all types of learning, these include:
- Recommended reading (see Module 0 "resources" learning activity)
- Support videos from other practitioners
- Practical tasks
- Observation exercises
- Planting exercises
- Agroforestry project

It is likely that there will be too many self development activities to choose from, if that is the case, then do not worry or be anxious about it. The most important activity to do is be present and participate in the live sessions.

Beyond that, feel free to chose as many, or as little of these activities and do them to the best of your abilities.
